19th meeting of the Measles/Rubella Regional Reference Laboratories of the WHO European Region, 17–18 October 2024 Copenhagen, Denmark

The 19th meeting of the Measles/Rubella Regional Reference Laboratories of the WHO European Region was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 17–18 October 2024. A virtual connection was also provided to remote participants. The meeting focused on updates from regional reference laboratories and the regional global specialized laboratory, as well as progress reports from several different ongoing scientific projects. Participants discussed issues of concern, such as the use of real-time reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction test results to discard measles cases, and plans for the upcoming year.
